Southern Hydro Vac – Built on Service

Southern Hydro Vac (SHV), a division of AIMS Companies was established in Georgia in October 2003. Starting with just2 trucks and a vision to provide a safer way to dig that includes reliability,service excellence, and dependability. Over the years, SHV has dramatically grown its personnel, fleet, and capabilities, from 2 trucks to a fleet of 20servicing and maintaining our nation’s infrastructure throughout the Southeast.

SHV offers a diverse range of complementary service capabilities, including hydro excavation, pipe cleaning, CCTV inspection, back fill, potholing, utility exposure, traffic control, pond cleaning, vault cleaning, lift station services, manhole rehabilitation, epoxy coatings, and lining. We service a diverse array of customers, including municipalities, plumbing and electrical contractors, water treatment facilities, construction and grading contractors,data centers, gas pipelines, HOAs, colleges, pipe companies, the DOT, and many more.  

Over the last 20 years, Southern Hydro Vac has maintained a reputation of being a leader in the industry, and we are proud to set the standard for soft digging,hydro excavation, and day lighting services. We have achieved this through our strenuous maintenance routine, our continuous education and training programs,our professional tenured employees, and our leadership. SHV was built off our“boots on the ground” employees and we’ve continued to grow based off their success and commitment in the field.

Starting January 1st, 2026, Southern Hydro Vac will continue to expand into new markets throughout the Southeast, opening full-service locations in Charlotte, NC,Cincinnati, OH, and Kentucky.
